I really post on this blog to far apart. I have just been spending some time reading all of your sweet comments this evening. I cant thank you enough for letting me talk out loud and figure this life out. :) I have met some amazing friends by blogging. I have even been lucky enough to meet so many in person.
I am not sure what happened over the last couple months, but my universe really tilted! lol I actually had become paralyzed as to what to even do anymore. It seemed to be coming from all directions. Sometimes time is our friend, sometimes not so much! But time has passed, my stars are aligning once again and it feels great! lol I believe its what you take away from these times that is important. To really examine situations and for Gods sake be honest with yourself. If you can change something, do it. If things have been out of your control, do your best to let it go. Hopefully it will make you appreciate the joy and happiness that is sure to be right around the corner.
There is so much emphasis on staying positive and believing. If you do this everything you want will happen. These really are very important, but in the dark hours it can add to your fear because you feel like even more of a failure for not being able to stay positive or that you didnt believe the right way. I ask myself, do I really not believe in my dreams enough. Sometimes its just not going to be possible to be 100 percent positive. We have fear or tragic losses we have to deal with. But hopefully time will be on your side. Dark times will hopefully pass quickly and we can get back to our wonderful life! Its really been a beautiful spring this year, and its really sparked my creativity and I am excited to get back to my art and my business.
I really appreciate all of your comments and advice. Have a pretty day! (()) gail
HI Gail,
ReplyDeleteYour post is very thought provoking. I am one of those people who always tries to think positive, and it is easy when things are going fairly well. But you are so right. When times are tough, that is the hardest thing to do. Spring is the perfect time for a new start. I hope your creativity "blossoms" like crazy and brings lots of sales. I admire your determination. All the best and lots of success. You deserve it.

Gail, there is one thing I carry with me...that God never put more on us than we can handle. He does have quite a sense of humor sometimes doesn't he? But I have found that my faith carries me through. I like you have been through some tough times and guess what, I made it! I see though times coming ahead but guess what, I'm going to make it! You too will make it. Your a strong woman. We carry our pain inside most of the time. Keep posting your thoughts, they inspire as do you. You take care of you first!

ReplyDeleteI know you are going to do well in what ever comes your way. You are that type of person. The lord is always with us in the happy times and the sad ones too. I have you in my prayers and that things work out for you. Also that your pain can go away so you can do the things that need done. Kath'
Hi Gail!
ReplyDeleteI followed your link and here I am.
Thank-you so much for the lovely comment you left on my blog. As you read, I am new to this world and I am really enjoying meeting all these wonderful women.
I sure don't have it all figured out, but one thing I do know is that the hard times DO NOT last forever...and when the hard times show their ugliness, I breathe, and I fake it till I make it. It's so easy to be hard on yourself, I am guilty of this as well...When I doubt myself I think hard of those that DO believe in me and I let them carry me through that day...
You are not alone on this journey...:)

Gail, you are so right and so strong. These thoughts come at a time when so many of us need to hear these words. Thank you.

Hi Gail,
ReplyDeleteI love your honesty and totally understand what you mean. I too love to be positive, but I agree that when things go wrong it's so hard to stay positive. But one thing I never give up is hope and faith in God. I tell myself everyday that today is going to be a good day no matter what. I count on him to guide me and make things better. And when things go wrong I fight it and wait for the sun to shine again. And it always does. You are a good person so good things will come to you. You are talented and very creative and God gave you that for a reason. So stay focused and you will see that this too shall pass. I can't wait to see what you make. I will keep you in my prayers. If we all pray for each other the world will be a better place. Hang in there my friend. At least you know I care and others do too.
Have a great day,
xxoo
